L.A. LIVE

L.A. LIVE is a one-of-a-kind sports and entertainment district, spanning six city blocks in Downtown Los Angeles. The L.A. LIVE campus is anchored by STAPLES Center and five Los Angeles sports teams: Lakers (NBA), Clippers (NBA), Kings (NHL), Avengers (AFL), and Sparks (WNBA). For the true sports fanatic, there will be an ESPN Zone and an 18-lane Lucky Strike Bowling Alley. In early 2009, L.A. LIVE will serve as ESPN’s West Coast Broadcast Headquarters and the new home of the ESPY Awards.

In addition to the arena concerts at STAPLES Center (20,000 seats), the campus features the largest stage in Southern California at the NOKIA Theatre (7,100 seats), which is home to the American Music Awards, American Idol Finals and almost one hundred concerts each year. L.A. LIVE boasts the only GRAMMY Museum, where visitors of all ages can listen to their favorite songs, create original music and participate in a unique musical experience. The Latin vibes of the Conga Room and the intimacy of Club NOKIA (2,300 seats) will give L.A. LIVE an unprecedented concentration of live music.

L.A. LIVE will offer a rich mix of local, regional and national restaurants reflecting the uniqueness of Los Angeles and its passion for food. Some of the featured restaurants are an exciting new concept from Wolfgang Puck, Rosa Mexicano, The Farm of Beverly Hills, The YardHouse, Katsuya, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and Lawry’s Carvery. Serving every taste and budget, the restaurants at L.A. LIVE will be open for lunch and dinner, offering outdoor dining to take advantage of Los Angeles’ perfect climate and Downtown skyline. There is no better place to experience sports, music or food.

Immediately adjacent to the Los Angeles Convention Center, L.A. LIVE will be the top destination for meetings, conventions and product launches. It will become the premiere location for special events (including the 2009 EMMY Awards) and movie premiers. The on-site TV studio will welcome many daytime talk shows and simulcasts with events around the world.

L.A. LIVE’s partnership with LA INC. will include a Visitor Information Center on the campus. For more information, visit www.lalive.com.
