Advisory Board members serve on a voluntary basis for a term of up to three years. Meetings are focused on issues related to how Los Angeles can more effectively sell, service and market to meeting professionals and attendees. Advisory Board meetings typically take place every 6 to 9 months.
Membership on the Advisory Board is based on the meeting professional’s industry experience and reputation. Written goals and objectives for meetings are communicated in the form of an agenda prior to each meeting. Pre-meeting reading materials may be sent to Board members on an as-needed basis. A strict level of confidentiality is maintained by all members of the Board to ensure open and free dialogue.
Members of LA INC’s Senior Executive Team are active participants on the Advisory Board and attend all business and social aspects of each meeting. Other Advisory Board attendees may include (but not limited to) senior executives from the Los Angeles Convention Center, hotel community, City officials and meeting industry suppliers.
