The candidate reports directly to the Director of Creative Services. Candidate must possess the ability to produce layouts for print and web-based applications based on directions by the Director in accordance to LA INC. standards.
Candidate will have full working command of Mac/PC software including: Bridge, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash and Adobe Acrobat. Including Microsoft Office 2007 Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Candidate must be responsible for archiving and maintaining digital libraries. As needed, other duties may also be assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consults with Director to evaluate daily project needs and juggle multiple projects for rush deadlines.
- Reviews final layouts and proofs to verify that the information matches marketing work orders and any requested changes to original requests. Runs spell check for each and every job—and proofs for marketing consistencies and AP standards.
- Produces layouts for print and web-based applications based on directions by the Director in accordance to LA INC. standards.
- Responsible for copy and design changes to existing files as well as alterations and creation of new collateral (i.e. brochures, postcards, flyers, powerpoint presentations, web) and other media, as needed.
- Generates soft and hard copy proofs as requested and traffics for subsequent approvals.
- Collects, edits and creates final files based on department standard operating procedures as well as instructions from Director for reproduction, which includes preflight and CFO.
- Proficient in finalizing work, quality check, pre-flight and producing required output files for various printers, service bureaus, outside publications and in-house digital printing.
- Prints and distributes jobs in house using printers and digital copiers as requested.
- Maintains samples, files, archives and databases according to directions. Archives to include files, samples, logos, photography and multimedia.
- Participates in photo shoots as needed for local photography requests and events and coordinates releases for legal.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors or Associates degree in Graphic Design or Fine Arts.
- Minimum of four years of work experience to include all software programs listed above.
- Exceptional sense of design and typography
- Must have strong written and oral skills.
