Visitors are officially welcomed by spectacular images of LA as they arrive at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). In a cooperative effort between Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and JCDecaux, new Welcome Boards — designed by LA INC. — are now hanging in every terminal.
The boards range in different sizes and shapes to complement each terminal and feature iconic landscape images from around Los Angeles. Images include the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Universal Studios HollywoodSM and the Hollywood Bowl, showcasing LA’s cultural, scenic and entertainment attractions.
Visitors are also greeted by a seven-minute film, Welcome: Portraits of America, designed to improve international visitors’ entry experience to the U.S. The fast-paced film captures iconic national landmarks and a variety of people from all walks of life.
Created by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts as a gift to the U.S. Departments of State and Homeland Security, the film and accompanying posters and banners are displayed in airport federal inspection areas, arrival concourses and U.S. embassies and consulates around the world.
