LOS ANGELES – Mikela Redd has joined LA INC. The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau as director, client services, serving as a liaison between meeting professionals and the local visitor industry.
Redd comes to LA INC. with over 10 years of experience in hospitality, event coordination, sales and catering and customer service. Most recently she served as director of catering and convention services at Sheraton Gateway Hotel, Kor Hotels, and prior to that was director of sales and services for ARAMARK Sports and Entertainment at the Anaheim Convention Center. Redd has managed more than 90 events and conventions with attendance ranging from 50 guests to 85,000. She is also a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the meetings and events industry’s largest and most vibrant global community.

The client services department of LA INC. recently received its ninth consecutive Gold Service Award from Meetings & Conventions magazine. Client Services team also earned the prestigious 2007 Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings Magazine readers. This award is given for going above and beyond to impress the demanding clientele of meeting, event, convention and incentive planners with an unwavering commitment to hospitality and service.
