FlyAway
Having 100 attendees at your meeting doesn’t necessarily mean you need to have 100 rental cars. Help the environment by having your attendees use FlyAway, a 24-hour transportation service for the ultimate ride sharing experience. The service operates three routes:

Metro Rail System
When you’ve got to get the gang across town nothing beats the Metro Rail System. Six fast, easy-to-use and environmentally friendly color-coded subway, light-rail and rapid bus transit lines offer visitors an affordable way of getting from one destination to the next.

  • The Metro Blue Line (light rail) runs north and south between Long Beach and LA.
  • The Metro Green Line (light rail) runs east and west between Norwalk and Redondo Beach.
  • The Metro Red Line (subway) meets the Blue Line in LA and provides service through Downtown, the Mid-Wilshire area, Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley, where it meets the Metro Orange Line (rapid bus transit), which runs from North Hollywood to the Warner Center in Woodland Hills.
  • The Metro Purple Line (subway) runs between Union Station, Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue.
  • The Metro Gold Line (light rail) connects with the Red Line at Union Station and runs to Pasadena.

Metro Bus System
There’s no need to rent multiple, gas-guzzling vans to get your conference attendees around town. LA’s intricate bus line can take you to all points of the city and beyond safely and economically. With three types of bus service, some 200 different lines, and routes to such places as state parks, area attractions, shopping districts and the LA Convention Center, getting from Point A to Point B is fast and affordable.

  • Metro Local (painted orange) makes frequent stops along major streets throughout the city.
  • Metro Rapid (painted red) offers fewer stops and expedited travel times on the city’s major streets, with the use of special transponders that cause traffic signals to favor the bus.
  • Metro Express (painted blue) offers reduced stop service along the city’s freeway systems.

Commuter Express
This stress-free, reliable bus service, which eases traffic congestion and helps the environment by moving the masses, is also operated by LADOT. Delegates and conference attendees who may be staying outside Downtown but need to get to the Convention Center or other meeting destinations don’t need to get behind the wheel or take a crash course in freeway driving. Instead, they can sit back and relax as they travel en route to Downtown LA from the beach cities, San Fernando Valley or other communities where Commuter Express is available. In the afternoon, buses quickly return passengers to their original point of origin.
