JW Marriott Hotel Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE — The JW Marriott Hotel Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE opened in February 2010 as part of the $2.5-billion sports and entertainment complex developed by AEG. 901 West Olympic — L.A. LIVE announced plans in April 2011 for a new 377-room hotel tower adjacent to L.A. LIVE. The 22-story high-rise will house two Marriott International hotel brands: Courtyard by Marriott® and Residence Inn by Marriott® at the northwest corner of Olympic Boulevard and Francisco Street. Construction on the 300,000 square-foot building is expected to begin in March 2012, with the grand opening slated for March 2014. The 197-room Residence Inn by Marriott® will feature spacious suites equipped with full kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. The hotel project will be managed by Marriott International. The new Courtyard by Marriott® and Residence Inn by Marriott® will be directly across the street from and will rely on the adjacent amenities available at the award-winning JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Metropolis Hotel — IDS Real Estate Group is planning to break ground as early as 2012 on a significant mixed-use project, the Metropolis. Located on a six-acre parcel along the Harbor Freeway at 8th and 9th streets, the Metropolis will consist of a 480-room hotel tower, multi-family residential units and office space. Positioned adjacent to the STAPLES Center entertainment district, the city's financial core and its Metro subway hub, this 2.7 million-square-foot development is seen as the western gateway to a resurgent Downtown. Luxe City Center Hotel — The former Holiday Inn Los Angeles City Center underwent a significant, multi-million-dollar renovation and was renamed the Luxe City Center Hotel in fall 2010. Hotel Bel-Air — Dorchester Collection’s Hotel Bel-Air re-opened Oct. 14, 2011, after 24 months of extensive refurbishment and redesign, a collaborative restoration effort between the internationally renowned design teams of Alexandra Champalimaud and Rockwell Group. Great care was taken to retain the familiar Spanish Colonial architecture splashed in “Bel-Air pink,” while a new generation of Bel-Air aesthetic is reflected through design themes representing the glamorous eras of the 1930s, ’40s and ’50s. Hotel Amarano Burbank — Formerly The Graciela, the Hotel Amarano is the only luxury boutique hotel in Burbank. Located in the heart of the entertainment district, just around the corner from Warner Bros.
