Now – Sept. 12, 2010
This summer, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is featuring a 12-week exhibition by John Baldessari; a Los Angeles artist whose works from the 1960's are considered some of the earliest pieces of Conceptual Art. "John Baldessari: Pure Beauty" showcases over 150 pieces of the artist's work, spanning from 1962 to the present. Photography, canvas paintings, artist's books and video works are all on display.
Visitors may also attend additional public programs that complement the exhibit:
- "Andell Family Sundays: Baldessari's Brain" -- Visitors can create their own masterpieces in workshops guided by artists on July 11, 18 and 25 (12:30-3:30 p.m.)
