Hollywood Bowl Museum
Tuesday through Friday, museum lovers take advantage of free admission days at select Los Angeles museums. Simply put, it's free access to many of LA's most prized possessions. Here’s a list of free days organized by day of the week.
Tuesday
- Autry National Center: Free on the second Tuesday of every month.
- Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA): Free on the second Tuesday of every month. After 5 p.m. every day, museum admission is on a pay-what-you-wish basis.
- Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County: Free on the first Tuesday of every month.
Wednesday
- Craft and Folk Art Museum: Free on the first Wednesday of every month.
Thursday
- Hammer Museum: Free every Thursday.
- Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens: Free on the first Thursday of every month from 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Note that advanced tickets are required. Reserve tickets online or call 800.838.3006.
- Japanese American National Museum: Free every Thursday from 5–8 p.m. On the third Thursday of every month, the museum is free all day.
- The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles – MOCA Grand Avenue: Free every Thursday from 5–8 p.m.
- The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles – The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA: Free every Thursday from 5–8 p.m.
- Skirball Cultural Center: Free every Thursday from noon–9 p.m. Note that Noah’s Ark closes at 5 p.m.
Friday
- Mak Center for Art and Architecture at the Schindler House: Free every Friday afternoon from 4–6 p.m.
- Museum of Latin American Art: Free every Friday.
- Norton Simon Museum of Art: Free on the first Friday of every month from 6–9 p.m.
