Room with a view at the Andaz West Hollywood
Andaz West Hollywood is a five-star hotel with the highest rooftop pool in LA. Known as the Riot House in the 1960s and 70s, the Andaz West Hollywood is where Jim Morrison of the Doors was kicked out for hanging from a window by his fingertips, Keith Richards famously threw a TV from his 10th floor room, Led Zeppelin rode motorcycles down the hallways and Little Richard called home for 10 years. More recently, it was a filming location for scenes from "Almost Famous" and "This is Spinal Tap."

From "Mummies of the World" and "Ecosystems" at the California Science Center to the "Age of Mammals" at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, plan on spending a day Downtown this season. Don't forget to hang out by the Rose Garden at sunset and then head over to L.A. LIVE for an entertaining evening.
