A Note from Ernie - December 2018

Dear Friends,

As 2018 draws to an end, I’d like to ‘toast’ to our industry's collective achievements from this past year. We set new milestones, broke previous records, and are firmly positioned for what should be another incredible year for L.A.’s hospitality & tourism community. I hope to see you at The Novo at L.A LIVE on January 16 to help L.A. Tourism celebrate a very special announcement; be sure to RSVP via the invitation sent to your email inbox.

Looking ahead, we’re excited for Winter dineL.A. to return January 11-25 with more than 400 participating restaurant across the city with 15 days of delicious dining experiences. There’s truly no better way to explore one of the most exciting and diverse food destinations in the country than with dineL.A.

Collections from Transient Occupancy Tax continue to fill the City of L.A.’s General Fund with $28.1 million accumulated during November. This puts the fiscal year total at $140.7 million, which is $10.7 million more than same period last year.

These are just a few of the updates we’re sharing with you in the final member newsletter of the year. As always, thank you for your esteemed partnership and and all that you do to ensure Los Angeles remains one of the world’s premier travel destinations. I wish you every success in 2019.

Cheers!
