From neighborhood gems to massive dance parties, rooftop soirees and sophisticated supper clubs, read on for the best New Year's Eve parties in Los Angeles. Events are 21 and over unless otherwise noted.

Level 8 - Moxy/AC
Houston Hospitality is hosting an epic New Year's Eve at Level 8, the sprawling nightlife and entertainment complex at the Moxy/AC in Downtown LA. "The first night of the rest of your life" includes access to numerous Level 8 venues, four-hour premium open bar, passed hors d'oeuvres, midnight countdown and champagne toast. Performers include DJs, live bands, aerialists, burlesque, dancers, magicians and luchadors.
Tickets at Eventbrite start at $100 for General Admission, which does not include access to the Sinners y Santos nightclub. Level up with a VIP ticket ($150+) for entry to Sinners y Santos. La Lo La Rooftop - AC Hotel
Perched on the 34th floor of the recently opened AC Hotel in Downtown LA, La Lo La Rooftop is hosting a New Year's Eve celebration with DJ sets, signature cocktails and panoramic views of fireworks across the city. Free NYE party favors and midnight champagne toast. Bar bites from chef Isaac Gamboa will be available for purchase. No cover, $75 per person minimum beverage spend. RSVP at OpenTable.
"The Countdown" - Spire 73
The InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown is hosting "The Countdown" at Spire 73, the highest open-air rooftop bar in Los Angeles. Boasting panoramic city views of NYE fireworks from the hotel's 73rd floor, "The Countdown" festivities include a live band, DJ and Midnight Champagne Toast.
Tickets at Eventbrite start at $125 for the Chairman's Lounge (open seating). Bronze Tier (bar seating) is priced at $175 per person, with VIP tables including the Gold Tier ($700 per table, up to 4 guests), Diamond ($800 / max 4) and Platinum ($1,100 for 6).
Gatsby's Penthouse - Elevate Lounge
Roll into 2024 in 1920s flapper fashion at Gatsby’s Penthouse LA New Year’s Eve 2024. Taking place at the sleek Elevate Lounge 21 stories above Downtown LA’s historic Financial District, this Great Gatsby-style party is an upscale, VIP-only celebration featuring a four-hour premium open bar, three areas in which to mix and mingle, two top DJs, and a live DJ-led midnight countdown. Masterbeat (Dec. 30, 2023 - Jan. 1, 2024)
The self-proclaimed “largest New Year’s in the world,” Masterbeat returns for its 24th edition, spanning three nights, four of LA’s top nightlife venues, and thousands of guys from around the world.
The Wizard of Oz-themed extravaganza features world-famous dancers and production, with superstar DJs Rosabel, Micky Friedmann, Tom Stephan, Shane Marcus and a special return by Brett Henrichsen for his famous Closing Party. Start your 2024 countdown on December 30 at "Yellow Brick Road" at The Belasco, then keep the party going at Masterbeat’s biggest event of the year, "The Emerald City: New Year’s Eve" at The Mayan. For the truly hardcore, there’s "Wicked: Afterhours" at Academy on New Year’s Day (5am – 10am) and then "Over the Rainbow: Closing Party" at Avalon, running till 4am on January 2.

Last Call for 2023 - The Reserve
This former bank vault in the heart of Downtown LA's Historic Core now comprises multiple dance floors and sub-lounges, where hip-hop, reggaeton, and R&B are accompanied by craft cocktails and alluring ambiance.
The Reserve and The Catwalk are teaming up to host Last Call for 2023, featuring aerialists, live entertainment, midnight countdown and more. Ticket options include General Admission, Expedited Entry and VIP Open Bar.
Oliver Heldens - Exchange LA
Downtown LA's former Stock Exchange building has been transformed into Exchange LA, a sprawling and nostalgic nightlife bar-raiser filled with Art Deco styling and ornate details.
Presented by Insomniac, Dutch Future House DJ Oliver Heldens is headlining on NYE, with an opening set from LA-based duo Max Low. General Admission tickets are $45 and VIPs are $105; with deluxe VIP Tables (8-12 guests) from $1,550 to $3,550.
New Year's Eve "Eve" - Cicada Club (Dec. 30, 2023)
If you prefer to skip the NYE crowds and mark the occasion at home, you can still celebrate in stately style on Saturday, December 30 at the Cicada Club’s New Year’s Eve “Eve” Party. Located in the historic Oviatt Building, this glamorous Downtown Art Deco supper club is a rare opportunity to savor authentic vintage Hollywood vibes, complete with big bands, fine dining, and throwback dancing. For New Year’s Eve "Eve," Dean Mora and his Orchestra will fill the floor with enduring tunes from the 1920s through the '60s.
No Cover New Year's: 80s Edition - Angel City Brewery
Located a four-minute walk from the newly-opened Little Tokyo / Arts District Station serviced by the Metro A and E Lines, Angel City Brewery lets you safely celebrate a car-free New Year's Eve.
Angel City is going totally tubular with an 80s themed edition of its annual No Cover New Year's Party, taking place from 11am to 2am. Enjoy DJs spinning all night, a full menu of delicious food, complimentary midnight toast and much more TBA.
Dance Yourself Clean - Teragram Ballroom
Indie dance party Dance Yourself Clean started in Seattle and now stages events nationwide. With its inclusive festival feel, DYC’s NYE party at Westlake’s storied Teragram Ballroom is aimed at low-key music lovers rather than see-and-be-seen fashionistas, with a setlist that includes the likes of Portugal The Man, Tame Impala and LCD Soundsystem.
General Admission tickets for the 18+ event start at $15-20, with a VIP Mezzanine Access option ($100) that includes coat check, skip-the-line privileges, a DYC sticker and a USB Flash drive with DYC remixes.
Nativo
Highland Park's Nativo is hosting a NYE celebration featuring Afro-Latin grooves by La Junta Sound System and cocktail specials sponsored by Tres Generaciones Tequila, Haku Vodka and Minus 196. No cover, RSVP at Eventbrite. Seating is available first-come, first-served.
Preciosa Night: Black & Gold - Catch One
The legendary Catch One is hosting several New Year's Eve events throughout the massive, multi-level nightclub.
Preciosa Night: Black & Gold is a queer Latinx party featuring Reggaeton sets from DJ KilledBySynth, LadySoul, DJ UnDocuBougie, Gracy D and TKEYS. Highlights include a Selena Tribute, Drag Shows, Burlesque, Photo Booth, Latinx NYE Tradition Stations, Midnight Champagne Toast and Balloon Drop. General Admission is $25, with a Bottle Service Reservation Special for six guests priced at $591.
Other NYE parties include DYMK featuring Tony Largo, Aaron Baar and Henry Golette; Queremos Reggaeton and the 18+ CATCH 101.
NYEx10: Space - Big Bar
Big Bar in Los Feliz is hosting the annual NYEx10, featuring 10 themed cocktails and 10 hourly countdowns celebrating 10 destinations.
This year's theme is "Space" - starting at 3pm, guests will blast off across the galaxy in search of cosmic cocktails and good times, culminating with a complimentary midnight champagne toast back on Earth. As always there's no cover.
Yoi Toki: A Future Funk NYE - The Virgil
Hosted by The Virgil in East Hollywood, Yoi Toki is a Future Funk showcase for DJs Jak Syn, 96.FM and Groovy Kaiju. A subgenre of Vaporwave, Future Funk mixes Funk and Disco with Japanese City Pop, resulting in a sound that is upbeat, insanely danceable and very funky. The aesthetic is a mix of nostalgic influences like 90s anime and 80s consumer culture.

Harvard & Stone
Discreetly located in Thai Town, Houston Hospitality's live music venue, the WWII-themed Harvard & Stone is hosting a NYE bash featuring Jules Duke (Mystic Braves), Hair, Sugarmill Slim and rotating DJs. The eclectic music mix will span Classic Rock, Modern Indie and Electro. The festivities include a midnight champagne toast and drink specials from Ilegal Mezcal.

Dream Hollywood Hotel
Located in the heart of the Hollywood Vinyl District, Dream Hollywood is hosting multiple New Year's soirées with its inimitable, signature panache.
TAO Asian Bistro is promising an elevated NYE dining and lounge experience. Beginning at 9pm on the big night, guests will be treated to an impressive selection of tray-passed hors d’oeuvres (through 11pm) With complimentary party favors and a live DJ performance, plus available VIP tables, TAO is the place to say “ciao!” to 2024 in TikTok style.

NYElectric 2024 - W Hollywood
Presented by VIP Nightlife, NYElectric 2024 is taking over the Great Room and the Wet Deck Rooftop at the W Hollywood. Two veteran DJs will be rocking the dance floors: Richard Vission on the Wet Deck and DJ Coolwhip in the ballroom.

Academy is the Hollywood home for Insomniac, the EDM production company best known for festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival. On NYE, Academy welcomes Dutch DJ Nicky Romero for a headlining set with support from Glrlskout and Meirlin. Markus Schulz: NYE Open to Close - Avalon Hollywood
A veteran of events like Electric Daisy Carnival, Monster Massive and Electric Zoo, Miami-based German DJ Markus Schulz can read a crowd like few others and makes the perfect master of ceremonies for his annual NYE Open to Close session at Avalon Hollywood. Good Times at Davey Wayne’s
