Restaurant maven Bruce Marder, who is also part owner of Capo and Cora’s Coffee Shop in Santa Monica, renovated this onetime neighborhood bar, filling it with art and making it a popular dinner house. The menu features all-American comfort fare such as a terrific shrimp cocktail, a top-notch burger and a lush banana split for dessert. But there are also trendy dishes like burrata, the creamy heart of a mozzarella cheese. Marder also makes one of the best margaritas that you have ever tasted.
