The Biltmore Los Angeles
The Biltmore Los Angeles celebrates a century of grandeur. This iconic property has impressed guests and locals since the glory days of Old Hollywood, capable of entertaining a myriad of stars, dignitaries and presidents from around the world. Having played host to a golden-era prohibition nightclub, numerous Academy Awards ceremonies, and feature film sets throughout the years – you’ll wish these gilt walls and fresco adorned ceilings could talk.
The Biltmore opened its doors in 1923 and this year marks our centennial celebration.
“The 1923 opening of The Biltmore is widely credited for putting Los Angeles on the map as a coveted metropolitan destination. The hotel operated a covert speakeasy during Prohibition, hosted the Academy Awards throughout the thirties, was the stage where John F. Kennedy announced his presidential candidacy, and served as the backdrop for some of the most acclaimed films in cinema history,” noted Alex Decarvalho, Vice President for Millennium Hotels and Resorts, “We welcome locals and visitors alike to celebrate with us - and rally around a momentous year for a seminal symbols of Los Angeles heritage.”
As we honor the storied history of this Los Angeles landmark, we look forward to the future and continuing its’ legacy. This wouldn’t be possible without all of the present and past caretakers, staff, loyal guests, clients and partners we have had the honor and pleasure of working with these past one hundred years. Thank you to everyone that has helped preserve the legacy of this beautiful, amazing, and historic hotel.
