Alex Schechter

Alex Schechter's travel writing has appeared in the New York Times, Monocle, Afar, Vogue, Sunset, and a host of other publications. A Rhode Island native, he once witnessed Natalie Merchant disperse a thunderstorm with just her voice at the Newport Jazz Festival. He currently lives in Los Feliz.
