Ski Dazzle® Sale & Swap

Save up to 70% off at this $6-million event, where the entire family can save hundreds of dollars on current and new past-season gear and resort deals, provided by local retailers and industry vendors.

Snow Summit Ski Lessons

Professional Snow Summit instructors will give beginners their first lesson on a 60-foot ramp, aka “the hill.” These free ski ramp lessons are an easy, stress-free way to get a friend or family member started on the road to skiing. Lessons include all equipment and professional instruction, and you can e-mail a photo of your friends and family on skis directly from the LAAC.

Rock Climbing Wall

Test your skills and get in shape for the upcoming season on the free rock climbing wall. All attendees can take on the 20-foot high, double-width rock climbing wall on the show floor. Professionally-trained instructors are on hand to make the climb safe and easy for children and adults. Challenge a friend or family member, and you can both climb at the same time!

Bear Mountain Riglet Park

This free event teaches small children to learn balance while riding a custom snowboard with soft flex boots and bindings over mellow rollers, small berms and ground level features. With the Riglet Reel tow, a certified instructor will pull the child over the variety of mini-features, allowing young riders to experience the excitement of learning to ride on their own. After trying it out at the show, kids will receive $25 off full-day and $20 off half-day lessons when they visit the official Riglet Park at Bear Mountain this season.

TASTE OF WINTER™

Taste Of Winter™ features the Executive Chef of the Los Angeles Convention Center, Brett Lewis, who will demonstrate mouth-watering recipes and select lucky audience members to sample the results. Inspired by resorts and restaurants from the world of skiing, Lewis is featuring “Classics Dishes From 50 Years of Resort Trends.” As Executive Chef of the LACC, Lewis manages a staff of 140 culinary personnel who have catered stellar events for VIPs from Hollywood to heads of state, the Grammys, the Emmys, and People’s Choice Awards.

Bear Mountain Vert Ramp

Back by popular demand, the high energy Bear Mountain Vert Ramp takes center stage once again to thrill the Ski Dazzle® audience. X-Games and World Cup Skate Tour emcee, Dave Duncan, brings a red-hot team of pro skaters and BMX riders to the expo, including national and internationally ranked athletes. Performers take to the Vert Ramp daily to show off their signature moves, the latest gear, and eye-popping stunts. Thousands of dollars in prizes will be given away at the Vert Ramp, including free lift tickets, free snowboards and mountains of prizes donated by Ski Dazzle®  exhibitors.

Sochi Olympic Virtual Ski Competition

SkyTech Sport’s Sochi Olympic virtual ski competition is making its Ski Dazzle® debut. Attendees can step onto this world-class Olympic team training machine and into an authentically detailed, virtual Sochi Olympic race course. This is not a video game, but a high tech, powerful and unique training tool that is being embraced by both amateur and professional athletes and coaches. The SkyTech Sport machine is featured all four days of the expo. Attendees can sign up for a free introductory lesson or compete for a season pass.
