Coming Soon: The Best of LA Apr. 14-20, 2025

This week is bookended by Coachella festivals, with the first weekend of the annual gathering in the desert happening on April 11 through 13 and the second convening between April 18 and April 20. That means you’ll see the most activity for the week of April 14 on the weeknights, when many of the artists on the music festival’s lineup are scheduled to play in Los Angeles or Pomona. Some of those shows, like British sensation Lola Young at the Fonda, electronic music duo Maribou State at The Roxy and Belfast-based hip-hop outfit Kneecap at the Glass House are already sold out. Still, a number of the Coachella-related shows still have tickets and we’ve listed some of those below.
But, it’s not all about Coachella this week. Julión Alvarèz begins his three-night stint at SoFi Stadium, AC/DC stops at the Rose Bowl on Friday night and Krush Groove takes over Kia Forum on Saturday. Meanwhile, award-winning play Furlough’s Paradise makes its West Coast premiere this weekend and composer Carlos Simon’s Good News Mass world premieres with the LA Phil on Thursday. On the sports front, NHL’s regular season comes to close as both MLB and college baseball kicks into high gear. All that is to say, there’s a lot happening in Los Angeles between April 14 and April 20, so keep reading for the highlights.
