Now playing at the historic Los Angeles Theatre through Halloween Night, Angel of Light is an immersive walkthrough horror experience that transports guests to the Golden Age of Hollywood in 1935.

In the early 19th century, the cursed young girl Rota Krisha brings suffering to a small rural village. The desperate villagers seek the help of Father Nicolai, who conducts a ceremony in the hopes of summoning an angel to combat the malevolent force - instead, Satan himself is inadvertently unleashed.

During Angel of Light, attendees will access rarely-seen spaces of the landmark movie palace, from the mysterious Catacombs to dressing rooms, a grand ballroom and the LED Possession Cube with kaleidoscopic visuals and footage drawn from Rota’s mind. The 60-minute journey culminates with the debut performance by Rota K. Preston herself.

Future Funk is a Vaporwave subgenre that mixes elements of Funk and Disco with Japanese City Pop influences, resulting in a sound that is upbeat, insanely danceable and very funky. The Future Funk aesthetic is a mash-up of nostalgic influences like 1990s anime and ’80s consumer culture.

On Saturday, October 28, Bob Baker Marionette Theater presents the inaugural Hallowe’en Costume Ball!

The night will begin with a special performance of the Hallowe’en Spooktacular, followed by a costume contest hosted by the Drag Queen Laureate of West Hollywood, Pickle. The judges panel includes costume designers Erin Benach, Audrey Fisher, Christie Wittenborn and production designer Natou Fall. The winner will be awarded a two-night stay at the Ace Hotel in Downtown LA and a $100 food and beverage credit for the lobby-level LOAM restaurant or Upstairs rooftop bar/lounge - a prize package worth more than $500!

On Halloween Night, Echo Park's James Beard Award-winning sake bar, OTOTO will transform into Midnight Diner, based on the cult favorite Netflix Japanese series. Staff will be dressed as Master in his signature blue samue; bartenders will pour drink specials and dispense life advice like the mysterious chef does for his customers.

OTOTO's own master, Charles Namba will be serving a menu of favorites from the series: Tonjiru (pork & vegetable miso soup), Ham Katsu, Curry Ramen, Tebasaki Karaage (deep fried chicken wings), Tamago Sando, Yakisoba Dog, Asari Sakamushi (sake steamed clams) and more.

Founded by Erin Hayes and Kelsey Ramage, Black Lagoon is popping up all month at Lost Property in Hollywood. The immersive experience includes themed cocktails, metal music and goth decor. Mixology meets the macabre with scary good drinks like the Silent Scream, a Piña Colada variation made with Diplomatico Rum, Lustau Amontillado Sherry, coconut, passionfruit, Campari and Bitter Queens Bangkok Betty Thai Spice Bitters.

Black Lagoon is donating $2 for every Book of Blood sold to the nonprofit Another Round Another Rally to support LGBTQIA+ hospitality workers in need. Enjoy this cocktail for a cause with Montelobos Mezcal, Giffard Piment d'Espelette (chile liqueur), miso falernum, fresh lime, beet and absinthe.

On Saturday, October 28, The Huntington Library presents Strange Science at The Hauntington! Taking place from 6pm-10pm, the eerie evening includes a display of ghostly objects from The Huntington's vault; candlelight tours in the Huntington Art Gallery; spine-tingling stories, Paranormal Pub Quiz, Danse Macabre with DJ Matt Rubino, a haunting performance by the Los Angeles Ballet; and aerialists in the Garden of Whispers. 21 and over, tickets on sale at The Huntington website.

Set sail for a haunted party cruise in Marina del Rey! Presented by VIP Nightlife, the Titanic Masquerade features two floors of music with DJs spinning hip hop, Top 40, EDM and R&B. The flagship of City Cruises Marina del Rey fleet, the newly-renovated Entertainer is the largest charter yacht in the marina, with 6,600 square feet of event space on three spacious decks.
