Gloria Molina Grand Park’s NYELA: Countdown to 2024
Gloria Molina Grand Park’s NYELA: Countdown to 2024 is the largest FREE New Year’s Eve event on the West Coast. featuring the park’s signature 3D countdown art show projected onto LA’s iconic City Hall. Leading revelers into 2024 will be a carefully curated entertainment lineup on two stages, topped by La Doña and La Verdad Band and hosted by Carolina Márquez and DJ Sizzle Fantastic. Bring an end-of-year appetite for delicious foods from 30 of LA’s favorite food trucks at this highly anticipated NYE celebration! (Note: Alcohol is not permitted and will not be sold at Gloria Molina Grand Park. The event will proceed rain or shine, but umbrellas are prohibited in the park.)
Gloria Molina Grand Park’s NYELA runs from 8pm on December 31 to 12:30am on January 1. The Get Down Stage will be located at the Performance Lawn between Grand Avenue and Olive Court. The Countdown Stage will be located on the Event Lawn between Hill and Spring Streets.
The Biltmore: LA Noir NYE 2024
The legendary Millennium Biltmore continues a century of celebrations with LA Noir NYE 2024, a spectacular evening of Golden Age-inspired live music, dancing, cocktails, costumes, characters, photo ops, and more than 40 performing artists. The Crystal Stage will host a lavish night of performances, dancing, the Biltmore Big Band, and a magical midnight countdown. Meanwhile, The Gold Room will offer a rare opportunity to explore a real hidden speakeasy tunnel originally created in 1923. For a more chill environment, retire to The Deco Lounge to relax amidst retro-style radio plays and musical guests until midnight. Forever Midnight - LACC (Dec. 30-31, 2023)
Presented by EDM trailblazers Insomniac, Forever Midnight is such a massive NYE celebration that it spans two stages over two nights at the Los Angeles Convention Center. On Saturday, December 30, lose yourself in sounds from the likes of Jamie xx, Masha Mar, Richie Panic, Fisher, Eli Brown, Kaskade Redux, and Papa Lu. On New Year’s Eve itself, there’s Eric Prydz, The Martinez Brothers, Deeper Purpose, Chloé Caillet, Black Loops, Anotr, and many more.
Happening in a warehouse-style venue in the very heart of LA and boasting the world-class production for which Insomniac is rightly renowned, Forever Midnight is the NYE must-do for serious EDMers across SoCal.

Pink Martini - Walt Disney Concert Hall
Portland’s celebrated “little orchestra,” Pink Martini featuring China Forbes, graces Walt Disney Concert Hall for your choice of 7pm or 10:30pm NYE performances. Promising a quintessentially eclectic New Year’s program that mixes Brazilian samba, the party sounds of 1930s Cuban dance music, plus a dash of Parisian café cool, there’s no classier way to ring in 2024! Opt for the early show and be back home by midnight or choose the later performance to be at WDCH for the big countdown to 2024.
Tickets for Pink Martini start at $139 for the 7pm performance or $119 for the 10:30pm show.
"A Christmas Story: The Musical" - Ahmanson Theatre
Also at the Music Center and offering a choice of NYE performances, the Ahmanson Theatre will be staging the last two shows of its month-long A Christmas Story: The Musical run. From the songwriting team behind the Tony Award-winning Dear Evan Hansen and the critically acclaimed films La La Land and The Greatest Showman, A Christmas Story: The Musical brings the classic 1983 movie to side-splitting life on stage. Set in 1940s Indiana, the young, bespectacled Ralphie Parker schemes his way toward the holiday gift of his dreams, an official Red Ryder BB gun. An infamous leg lamp, outrageous pink bunny pajamas, a maniacal department store Santa, and a triple-dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole are just a few of the distractions that stand between Ralphie and his Christmas wish. Nominated for three Tony Awards including Best Musical, the Associated Press calls A Christmas Story: The Musical “a joyous Christmas miracle.”

Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square
The traditional Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square once again enjoys an extended season this year, with daily skating available through Jan. 7, 2024. One of LA's most popular outdoor ice skating rinks, this charming and bonding Downtown LA seasonal staple welcomes teetering first-time gliders and flashy experienced skaters alike for holiday fun and guaranteed smiles at its 60-minute skating sessions. And yes, the Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square is open on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day (11:30am – 9:30pm). The spacious and beautifully decorated rink boasts great Downtown LA views, and there are professional skaters on hand to help anyone who’s struggling. Remember to wear layers for LA’s unpredictable winter weather!

Masterbeat (Dec. 30, 2023 - Jan. 1, 2024)
The self-proclaimed “largest New Year’s in the world,” Masterbeat returns for its 24th edition, spanning three nights, four of LA’s top nightlife venues, and thousands of guys from around the world.
The Wizard of Oz-themed extravaganza features world-famous dancers and production, with superstar DJs Rosabel, Micky Friedmann, Tom Stephan, Shane Marcus and a special return by Brett Henrichsen for his famous Closing Party. Start your 2024 countdown on December 30 at "Yellow Brick Road" at The Belasco, then keep the party going at Masterbeat’s biggest event of the year, "The Emerald City: New Year’s Eve" at The Mayan. For the truly hardcore, there’s "Wicked: Afterhours" at Academy on New Year’s Day (5am – 10am) and then "Over the Rainbow: Closing Party" at Avalon, running till 4am on January 2.
Single-event General Admission tickets start at $100, with weekend passes for VIP admission to all four events running $349.
Prohibition NYE - Union Station
Returning for its 10th year, Prohibition NYE will once again transform the iconic Union Station into a Roaring Twenties party like no other! Experience theatrical burlesque, live jazz ensembles, a headlining DJ set by acclaimed duo Chromeo, plus a premium open bar featuring champagne. premium spirits, and specialty cocktails. L.A. Zoo Lights: Animals Aglow

Enchanted Forest of Light - Descanso Gardens
Descanso Gardens’ Enchanted Forest of Light is an interactive nighttime experience unlike anything else in Los Angeles, featuring a mile-long walk through unique lighting experiences in some of Descanso’s most beloved areas. This shimmering nocturnal wonderland features popular returning illuminated favorites, including an entire town of magical “stained glass” creations on the Main Lawn by contemporary sculptor Tom Fruin; sparkling geometric installations from HYBYCOZO in the Rose Garden; Flower Power on the Promenade; and exquisite lighting effects in the Ancient Forest. The Hollywood Roosevelt
A famously elegant, historic spot in the very heart of Hollywood, the Hollywood Roosevelt invites you to celebrate New Year's Eve in wonderfully evocative Golden Age Hollywood style. The landmark hotel is hosting a Classic New Year's Eve celebration in the Blossom Ballroom (site of the very first Academy Awards) for all to welcome 2024 with a six-hour premium open bar, seven DJs (including Eric D-Lux, DJ P-Jay, Luke Wryder, DJCJ and DJ Prophet) and much more across three General Admission areas, four rooms of music, and five areas to mingle. Desert 5 Spot - Tommie Hollywood

The Groundlings New Year's Eve Spectacular
Laugh your way into 2024 with The Groundlings New Year’s Eve Spectacular. The revered improvisational and sketch comedy troupe will open the lobby of its cozy Melrose Avenue home at 9pm for hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine. At 10pm, the super-talented Groundlings performers – alumni include Will Ferrell, Lisa Kudrow, Maya Rudolph, Paul Reubens (aka Pee-wee Herman), Kristen Wiig and Phil Hartman – will take the stage for an unpredictable but consistently hilarious improv show featuring The Groundlings House Band. L.A. Guns - Whisky A Go Go
Seminal Sunset Strip glam metal act L.A. Guns headlining the New Year’s Eve Party at the legendary Whisky A Go Go has become something of a tradition. Formed in 1983 and still featuring core members Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis from its classic lineup, the band released a pair of Gold-certified albums and scored a hit single with 1989’s "The Ballad of Jayne." A solid supporting lineup for this veritable headbanger’s ball comprises American Jetset, Slant, Whiskey Dogz, All Sinners, and Villa Nova. Established in 1937, The Mint presents a memorable New Year's Eve for lovers of first-rate live music with sets by Cubensis and Sanford Street on an intimate stage that's hosted legends like Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and Willie Dixon.
For more than 35 years, Los Angeles-based Cubensis has been lovingly recreating the experience and spirit of classic Grateful Dead with a critically-acclaimed live show that’s never the same twice. Phantom Planet - The Venice West
Head to The Venice West for an unforgettable NYE night of music and revelry with the revered LA band Phantom Planet. Celebrating their 30th anniversary next year (albeit with an 11-year hiatus), Phantom Planet is best known for its song “California,” theme song to the hit TV series The O.C., and for having actor Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore, Spun etc.) as their original drummer. The Annual One-Time-Only New Year’s Eve Revue - Santa Monica Playhouse

NYE Fireworks & Party Cruise - Marina del Rey
Ring in 2024 with a fun, family-friendly fireworks display that will light up the sky over the Marina del Rey waters. Lightscape - L.A. County Arboretum
Following a sold-out run in London, Lightscape made its West Coast debut at the L.A. County Arboretum in Arcadia two years ago. It has returned, reimagined for 2023 through Jan 2. This season’s expanded Lightscape includes brand new breathtaking light installations from around the world. The self-guided walk through this immersive after-dark holiday oasis, complete with music and Santa, is a little over a mile long but typically takes about 90 minutes, as fellow visitors stop and stare at enveloping installations that have enthralled viewers worldwide. Lightscape is a truly singular NYE attraction that can be enjoyed with family, friends, or a date, with food trucks on site nightly until 9 p.m.
