When you travel, you’re not just looking for someplace to lay your head at night. After all, as far as you’re concerned, travel provides a chance to live a life outside of your ordinary. To that end, when selecting your accommodations you seek a VIP experience—one in which you can indulge in luxuries you don’t necessarily experience at home. You’re in luck, as the Beverly Hills Marriott will make you feel like the star of the show, from the moment you step inside and onto the lobby’s gorgeous "runway."

Thanks to an extensive renovation in 2015, the Beverly Hills Marriott has upped its glam game considerably. The lobby boasts high-gloss finishes, marble floors in a truly glitzy chevron pattern, bold artwork, dark wood, and even a dark runway-like path, leading from the entrance to the reception desk. Looking around, you nod approvingly at how well the Beverly Hills Marriott pulled off the Great Room Lobby concept, making it both incredibly modern while evoking a feeling of stepping back in time - the decor was inspired by the interiors of vintage luxury cars, with dark woods and even chrome.

Strutting down the runway, you take in the sheer elegance of the Great Room Lobby. With sectional sofas designating chic sitting areas, you admire the mirrored coffee tables, intriguing light fixtures, and bright pops of color by way of flowers, throw pillows and area rugs. There’s no mistaking that the Great Room Lobby is fit for A-listers. You note that the elegant Library offers plenty of space for working, reading, or enjoying a cocktail while lounging in the comfortable leather chairs or sofa.

Framed by bright potted orchids, the concierge greets you as if you’re royalty and lists the amenities: WiFi is free throughout the common areas, room service is available should you request it, and you’re welcome to enjoy premium movie channels from your room. You're also told that world-famous Rodeo Drive is just a mile away, and although there are plenty of dining options in the area, the onsite GREATROOM restaurant does an exceptional job of serving up classic American Cuisine with a California twist. You’re welcome to dine inside, poolside, or on the patio, because you’re calling the shots for the duration of your stay.

Upstairs in your King Suite, you’re delighted to find your bedroom bathed in soothing white and neutral tones, with a pillow top platform bed, luxury bedding, and a sofa running the length of the window offering gorgeous views of Beverly Hills and beyond. The room’s minimalist, streamlined vibe will be perfect for catching a few Zs later. By contrast, the living room is bright, bold and effervescent. With a deep navy sectional couch, leather accent chair, chrome ottomans, patterned wallpaper, and area rug, your living room is as energizing as your bedroom is soothing. There’s also a dining area, workspace, and a mini-fridge for your convenience.

You spend time doing exactly that, before heading out into the early evening for a dip in the outdoor heated pool. Surrounded by lounge chairs, with sunshade canopies available, the resort-style pool area is softly aglow thanks to tailored lighting, softly illuminated side tables, and a flickering fire in the adjacent fire pit.

After your swim, it’s still early enough to get in a workout in before dinner, so you head to the fitness center for cardio on the elliptical, some yoga-style stretching, and a bit of weight training. After all, you’re not planning to hold back on cocktails or dinner, so you’d better burn the calories now.

You're dressed up and enter the GREATROOM, where you appreciate the colorful wall murals and curious art throughout, before you're seated in one of the private black leather booths and peruse the expansive menu options. After savoring your dinner, you head to the bar to chat with the bartender as you while away the evening in complete relaxation.

Tomorrow you’ll head out for shopping on world-famous Rodeo Drive, before treating yourself to a celebrity style lunch at The Ivy. In the days that follow you plan to pamper yourself one of the four spas located less than a mile from your hotel, and will likely spend time exploring the iconic Getty Center and historic Greystone Mansion. Plus, you’re carving out time to shop till you drop at the Beverly Center and The Grove, both of which are just a few miles from the Marriott.

After retreating to your suite for the evening, and climbing under the fluffy down comforter, you sigh contentedly and drift off to sleep all the while thinking to yourself that you could really get used to feeling like a VIP - the way the Beverly Hills Marriott makes you feel.
