Día de los Muertos - Hollywood Forever (Nov. 1)

Hollywood Forever’s Día de los Muertos celebration returns on Saturday, November 1. This year’s event will feature three different admission times. The afternoon event (1:30pm-3:30pm) will feature altar viewings, plus DJs and Aztec dancers. For the evening crowd (4:30pm-9pm), there will also be a screening of Coco and a drone show. The late night crowd (9:30pm - 1:30am) will also get a Coco screening, but without the drone show.

"The Phantom of the Opera" - United Theatre on Broadway (Oct. 30-31)

LA Opera's annual Halloween mash-up of horror and live music returns to the spectacular United Theater on Broadway with a 100th anniversary screening of The Phantom of the Opera. A century later, Lon Chaney's unforgettable performance in the title role remains one of the greatest of all movie monsters. To accompany this silent film masterpiece, Frank Strobel will conduct composer Roy Budd's acclaimed score, performed live by the LA Opera Orchestra.

"The Evil Dead" in Concert - Million Dollar Theatre (Oct. 30 - Nov. 1)

The Evil Dead in Concert opens at the Million Dollar Theatre on Thursday, October 30 for a three-night run. Part-screening, part-Halloween haunt and part-concert, the event features a live performance of Joe LoDuca’s score alongside a screening of Sam Raimi’s recently restored, 1981 horror classic The Evil Dead. Doors open at 4:30pm, giving fans time to explore The Cellar: An Underground Evil Dead Experience before the 8pm screening.

John Carpenter Live in Concert - The Belasco (Oct. 31 - Nov. 1)

Tickets are going fast for John Carpenter’s Halloween Weekend engagement at The Belasco, featuring the legendary director and composer of Halloween, Escape From New York and other horror and sci-fi favorites in concert on Friday, October 31 or Saturday, November 1.

"Night of the Living Dead" - The Ford (Oct. 31)

Street Food Cinema and The Ford co-present a Halloween screening of the classic zombie film Night of the Living Dead on Friday, October 31. The movie starts at 8pm, gates open 90 minutes prior.

Gwishin Dinner - Openaire (Oct. 31 - Nov. 2)

This Halloween Weekend, dine on hauntingly beautiful plates and sip mysterious cocktails as Openaire conjures forgotten Korean horror tales for three nights only! The Gwishin Dinner includes a multi-course dinner, curated cocktails, chilling Korean horror tales (including The Daegu Fortune Teller and The Fortune Teller & The Demons), plus close-up magic by a magician that blurs reality with myth. "Hadestown" - Pantages Theatre (Oct. 31 - Nov. 2)

Winner of eight Tony Awards and the GRAMMY for Best Musical Theater Album, Hadestown intertwines two mythic tales — young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice; and King Hades and his wife Persephone — and invites you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. The acclaimed musical concludes its run at The Pantages with a weekend of matinees and evening performances.
